ACH Debit transaction dates
Since 1st August 2021, ACH Debit transactions can be processed on all days of the year.
In LotusPay, ACH debits can be created and scheduled up to one year in advance.
1st August 2021 onwards
NACH is available on all days, as per NPCI NACH Circular 2021-21/005.
1st January 2021 to 31st July 2021
NACH working days were determined by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). NACH working days included Monday to Friday, first, third and fifth Saturdays of each calendar month, and excluded national holidays (Republic Day - 26 January, Independence Day - 15 August, Gandhi Jayanti - 2 October) and some other holidays which vary from year to year.
If the scheduled date was a NACH working day, that was the charge date. Otherwise, LotusPay would automatically schedule the ACH debit on the next NACH working day.

NACH working days were identical to RTGS working days. RBI published the RTGS calendar. RTGS working day included Monday to Friday, first, third and fifth Saturdays of each calendar month, and excluded national holidays (Republic Day - 26 January, Independence Day - 15 August, Gandhi Jayanti - 2 October) and some other holidays which vary from year to year. With the advent of 24x7 RTGS on 1 January 2021, NACH has its own holiday calendar.
