Generating your Aadhaar Virtual ID for eSign eMandate

Aadhaar Virtual ID is a unique temporary code that you can use for eKYC and eSign, without revealing your Aadhaar number. You can easily create a Virtual ID.

Aadhaar Virtual ID is a unique temporary 16-digit code that you can use instead of your Aadhaar number. This helps you to protect your identity, because you do not need to reveal your Aadhaar number to verify your identity.

It is not possible for anyone to determine your Aadhaar number from your Virtual ID.

You can generate a Virtual ID in several ways:

  1. On the UIDAI websitelink icon.

  2. At any official Aadhaar centre.

  3. On the 'mAadhaar' app in an Android mobile device (this feature is coming soon).

Simply give your Aadhaar number, enter the OTP and you will receive your Virtual ID. Keep it stored. You can use and reuse it. When you want to change it, simply generate a new Virtual ID and the old one will become invalid.

If you are authorising an NACH Debit eMandate via Aadhaar eSign on LotusPay, you can enter your Virtual ID. Keep it ready in advance.
