# Create Mandate (InApp Flow)



In order to create a mandate through InApp flow, the merchant initiates **OnboardingAndPay**  SDK Process call with **shouldCreateMandate**  as **true** . 

UPI responds to the Juspay PSP with the final status of the mandate and the Juspay PSP notifies the merchant through the **Create Mandate Callback** (**type: MERCHANT_INCOMING_CREATE_MANDATE** ). The Merchant can also call **Mandate Status API**  at regular intervals to get the real time status of the mandate creation.
